Care Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant - Public Law

Location: Nuneaton

Salary: c£26,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced FamilyCare Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant to support the busy Family Care team of a very well-established, highly reputable law firm, in Nuneaton, in a very friendly, supportive working environment.

The employer is a progressive and forward-looking law practice with a very friendly, supportive, collaborative working environment. They are committed to providing a high standard of personal service with the support of up-to-date resources and technology within the office. They employ around 50 staff and have Family Advanced Accreditation.

Hours of Work: 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday with an hour’s lunch break

The role will involve

• Provision of support to the Family Care team, encompassing administrative duties associated with public law care proceedings
• Typing of legal documents and correspondence
• Liaising with clients by telephone, e-mail, and face to face
• Preparation of court bundles and other documents
• Preparing cases for court
• Diary Management

Suitable candidates will have

• Experience of working in family law
• Experience gained working as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
• Experience of dealing with legal aid cases, relating to childcare matters (preferred but not essential)
• Experience of using the Legal Aid portal (preferred but not essential
• Experience of using a legal case management system
