Motor Claims Handler, Bolton (BL7) – £26,500 to £30,000 – Monday to Friday, 9–5, no rota.
Already taking FNOL motor claims or handling accidental damage claims, but tired of lates, weekends and a 24/7 rota? An established, FCA-regulated insurer just outside Bolton wants an experienced Motor Claims Handler for its motor claims team, on a straight 9–5.
What the Motor Claims Handler does
* Take FNOL motor claims, getting the detail right first time and setting honest expectations
* Run accidental damage claims through to settlement: engineers, repairers, salvage, courtesy cars and third parties
* Check cover, investigate liability and make the settlement decision on your own motor claims
* Manage your claims caseload by phone and in writing and keep every file moving
* Be the person policyholders and brokers want to deal with
* Flag fraud indicators on motor claims
What you'll bring
* Solid motor claims experience – FNOL, accidental damage, or both (around two years for the top of the range; 18 months and strong on liability, still apply)
* Confidence making and explaining a liability decision
* Comfort across several claims systems
* GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or above
* CII held or in progress – fully funded if not
* A full driving licence – public transport to the site isn't realistic
Pay and benefits
* £26,500 – £30,000 depending on motor claims experience
* 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. No evenings, no weekends, no on-call. Hybrid after probation
* Fully funded CII and one-to-one coaching from a dedicated motor claims trainer
