About the Nursery Assistant Role

As an unqualified nursery assistant, you will support qualified practitioners with the daily care of children aged 0-5 years and help create a safe, caring and engaging environment. You may work alongside experienced nursery practitioners, room leaders and management teams across different Early Years settings.

Your responsibilities can include supporting children's play, learning and development, helping with daily routines, maintaining high standards of safeguarding and working as part of a professional nursery team. Every setting is different, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable UK childcare experience.
