Located in North London, Edmonton Green is a busy, well-connected area with a popular shopping centre, a lively high street and excellent transport links. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced optical professional who enjoys taking responsibility, supporting colleagues and helping a practice deliver outstanding patient care.

The Role

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Optical Supervisor who can lead by example, support the team and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and supporting the optical team to maintain high standards of service.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring patients receive a welcoming experience.
• Supporting spectacle dispensing, frame selection and lens recommendations.
• Helping manage the daily running of the practice and ensuring efficient workflows.
• Supporting and developing team members, sharing your optical knowledge and experience.
• Assisting with pre-screening and clinical support duties, where trained.
• Handling patient queries and resolving issues professionally.
• Supporting stock control, administration and general practice operations.
• Working closely with the wider team to achieve practice targets and maintain excellent standards.

About You

Previous optical experience is essential, ideally with experience in a supervisory or senior Optical Assistant position.

You'll have strong dispensing knowledge, excellent communication skills and the confidence to support and motivate a team. You'll be organised, proactive and passionate about delivering excellent patient care while ensuring the practice runs smoothly.
