Application Architect - Customer & Experience Transformation

• Rate: £600 per day
• Working arrangement: Hybrid
• IR35 status: Inside IR35
• Eligibility: Must be a UK National with a minimum of five years' UK residency

Your new company

You'll be joining a major central government transformation programme focused on exploring and scaling the use of Generative AI.The programme is moving Generative AI proof-of-concept activity towards MVP delivery, with this role supporting an alpha phase focused on identifying user needs, understanding existing journeys and assessing potential technical solutions.

Your new role

As an Application Architect, you'll provide technical architecture expertise across a customer and experience transformation programme.You'll work across discovery and technical analysis, helping the programme understand existing journeys and systems, identify pain points and gaps, and explore how Generative AI and cloud technologies could support potential solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and assess current as-is journeys and technical systems.
• Identify pain points and user needs.
• Conduct horizon scanning across relevant technologies and potential solutions.
• Undertake gap analysis.
• Assess potential technical solutions.
• Support the scaling of Generative AI proofs of concept.
• Contribute to progression towards MVP delivery.
• Provide technical input throughout the alpha phase.

What you'll need to succeedEssential skills and experience

• Must be a UK National with a minimum of five years' UK residency.
• Strong understanding of technical concepts.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of AI services.
• Experience analysing technical systems.

Desirable skills and experience

• Previous public-sector experience.
