Classroom Support Assistant - Wokingham

This amazing school are looking for an enthusiastic, patient and caring Classroom Support Assistant to join a fantastic team, supporting young people with additional needs to learn, grow and achieve their goals.

Every day brings something different! You'll be helping students make the most of their experience by:

• Supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the classroom and during practical activities.
• Working alongside tutors to create a fun, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Helping students develop communication, social and independent living skills.
• Encouraging participation, confidence and positive relationships.
• Providing reassurance, encouragement and tailored support to help students overcome challenges.
• Supporting students with personal development, everyday tasks and preparation for adulthood

What you need to be a Classroom Support Assistant:

Experience supporting people with SEND, autism, learning disabilities or additional needs would be beneficial. However, transferable experience from care, youth work, education, support work or similar people-focused roles is also valuable.
