Credit Controller

• Pay: £14.65 - £16.22 (DOE)

Reed Lancaster is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for Credit Controller to join a business based near Kendal. This temp-to-perm role is ideal for a credit professional who thrives on building strong customer relationships, reducing aged debt, and significantly improving cash flow performance.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Take ownership of the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of customer payments while maintaining positive and professional relationships.
• Manage the company's credit control processes including proactive collection of outstanding debts and reduction of overdue balances.
• Support healthy cash flow through effective account management.
• Investigate and resolve payment queries and invoice disputes.
• Monitor aged debt
• Maintain accurate customer account records.
• Work towards cash collection and debt reduction targets.
• Ensure compliance with agreed credit terms.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous credit control experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Professional and confidential approach to work.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: AAT qualification, manufacturing sector experience, SAP or other ERP system knowledge, experience of international credit control.
