An excellent opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant ready to take the next step in their career and progress into a fully qualified Management Accountant role.

Based in Rochdale, this growing business is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant who wants to develop their technical skills, broaden their commercial understanding and build a long-term career within finance.

Working closely with an experienced Finance Director, you will benefit from hands-on training, increased responsibility and direct exposure to senior-level decision-making. This is a role designed for someone who wants to move beyond transactional finance and play a more active part in the wider business.

Key responsibilities and development opportunities include:

• Supporting the month-end close process, with increasing responsibility for producing accurate and timely management accounts.
• Preparing management accounts packs, including financial analysis and meaningful commentary.
• Working alongside budget holders and department heads to assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, enhance accuracy and provide greater commercial insight.
• Presenting financial information to internal stakeholders and attending senior management meetings.
• Supporting the Finance Director with financial analysis and reporting to help drive informed business decisions.

As your experience develops, you will be given the opportunity to take ownership of the month-end process, lead on management accounts preparation and progress towards a fully autonomous Management Accountant position, including exposure to board-level reporting.
