REED Education is proud to be working in partnership with a well-respected secondary school near Royston to recruit a Pastoral Support Assistant on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and developing pastoral team in a newly created role that will play a key part in supporting student wellbeing, engagement and success. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support across the school's pastoral provision, helping to ensure students and families receive a responsive and effective support service.

The Role

As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will work closely with pastoral leaders to coordinate and support a range of student-focused processes and interventions. Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing pastoral communications with students, parents and carers
• Coordinating meetings, appointments and diaries
• Preparing reports, records and documentation
• Maintaining accurate and confidential student information
• Supporting the smooth running of pastoral systems and processes
• Acting as a key administrative contact within the pastoral team

About You

The school is looking for a professional and organised individual who:

• Has excellent administrative and organisational skills
• Is proactive and able to manage a varied workload
• Communicates effectively with a range of stakeholders
• Understands the importance of confidentiality and discretion
• Has experience within an education, pastoral, safeguarding or administrative setting (desirable)
• Is committed to supporting young people and helping them thrive

What's on Offer?

• Permanent position
• 37 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 8.00am - 4.00pm
  • Friday: 8.00am - 3.30pm
• Term time plus 5 training days (39 weeks per year)
• Flexible working considered
• Actual salary: £22,645.65 per annum
