MECHANICAL FITTER - PRESTIGE SITE, GREAT ROLE. £35 PER HOUR UMBRELLA, 12 MONTH CONTRACT INITIALLY. OPPORTUNITY NOT TO BE MISSED! The Role Supports various teams & facilities in the provision of Mechanical Engineering services and assisting in the delivery of Mechanical Engineering Projects. Enables the organisation to sustain/continuously improve existing installations and provide new builds or major improvements as required. Working alongside Mechanical Technician and Fitters – the jobholder will contribute to the following: • Keep engineering and construction areas clean and hazard-free to ensure a safe working environment. • Transport and maintain basic tools and equipment while performing routine safety checks before use. • Carry out manual construction tasks and assembly work to support engineering project requirements. • Manage the delivery and storage of materials according to site safety and hazardous substance guidelines. • Follow all health and safety protocols and report potential hazards to maintain a secure site. • To participate in the maintenance, improvement and modification of components as directed by mechanical technicians. • Undertake a wide range of ‘hands-on’ general purpose duties with minimal supervision. • To liaise with members of other Teams to progress tasks in a timely manner. • Provide information and support enabling correct documenting of processes/procedures for the maintenance/installation/testing of equipment. • General workers are expected to know some tasks may be additionally complicated by the fragile and complex nature of equipment and apply appropriate care and techniques to complete the work. Essential Requirements: • Mechanical apprenticeship • Awareness of H&S legislation • Experience of working under a Written Safe System of Work/Method Statements • Ability to independently complete individual tasks, as well as co-operate and work as part of a team • Good written and verbal communication skills • Competent computer skills If this is you don't delay - apply here and we will be straight in touch to discuss the role
