Bookkeeper (Remote)

Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per annum

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a growing accountancy and business services team. This is a fully remote role offering the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio of UK-based clients while developing your accounting and bookkeeping expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of UK clients.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare year-end financial statements.
• Support the preparation of corporation tax working papers.
• Liaise directly with clients regarding accounting queries and financial information.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, statutory requirements, and reporting deadlines.
• Assist with payroll processing where required.

Requirments

• Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice or finance environment.
• Good understanding of UK accounting principles and VAT regulations.
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial statements.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

Desirable Skills

• AAT qualified or studying towards a relevant accounting qualification.
• Payroll experience.
• Ability to speak Hindi would be advantageous
