Hays Education work with a wide range of primary schools across Coventry and are keen to speak with Early Career Teachers looking to gain experience in the classroom. Whether you're looking for flexible supply work or hoping to find a longer-term role where you can complete your ECT induction, we can help.

We have established relationships with local schools across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and regularly support ECTs as they begin their teaching careers.

Your new role

Starting your teaching career can be exciting, but finding the right school is just as important as finding the right role.
Supply teaching can be a great way to build confidence, gain classroom experience and experience different school settings before committing to a longer-term position. You'll have the opportunity to work across a range of primary schools, developing your teaching practice and gaining exposure to different year groups and learning environments.
Alongside day-to-day supply work, we can also support ECTs looking for longer-term placements, maternity cover roles and opportunities within schools that can support them through their ECT induction.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to achieve QTS before starting work
• Recent teaching experience gained through placements
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive and proactive approach
• Flexibility and willingness to develop your teaching practice
• Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
