Accounts Payable Assistant – Crawley (hybrid) – 6 month FTC – £30-35k

My client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join their Finance team on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. The role is to provide the team through a busy period of change and there is the possibility of it going permanent. Hybrid working requires min 2 days per week on site.

You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, payments and expenses, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and ensuring all Accounts Payable activities are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with company controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, expenses and payment runs.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries.
• Monitor AP inboxes and maintain supplier records.
• Support month-end activities, audits and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and company policies.
• Assist with system improvements, automation projects and process enhancements.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

About You

• Proven Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger experience.
• Strong understanding of AP processes and controls.
• Experience with ERP finance systems.
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
