Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop and ensuring tools, materials and equipment are used and stored correctly. Working collaboratively with education and wider prison staff to support learners' development. What We're Looking For Essential: Significant hands-on experience in a construction trade Relevant trade qualification (such as NVQ or City & Guilds) in a construction discipline Sound understanding of health and safety practice in a workshop setting Ability to work within the security requirements of a custodial environment, including enhanced DBS clearance Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners Desirable (but not essential): A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one Previous experience delivering training or mentoring in a workplace or education setting Experience working with learners who have had disrupted education or additional learning needs If you're ready to bring your trade expertise into a role that genuinely changes lives, we'd love to hear from you.
