Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

• Working Pattern: 1 Day Per Week - Wednesday - 8.30 am - 3.30 pm
• Must have previous experience

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming secondary school on a long-term basis for one day per week. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about supporting students and making a positive impact on their educational journey.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff.
• Provide classroom support across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Work with individual students and small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
• Support students with varying abilities and learning needs.
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of intervention programmes.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience working within a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
