Our client is seeking a qualified accountant to join their growing team in a role that combines accounts preparation, management reporting and client relationship management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a broad range of SMEs and acting as a trusted finance partner to business owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of businesses
• Production of management accounts and financial reports
• Preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Managing relationships with a dedicated portfolio of clients
• Providing financial guidance and support to business owners and stakeholders
• Reviewing work completed by junior team members
• Supporting a variety of finance and business projects as required
• Liaising with clients on day-to-day accounting and financial matters

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified, although qualified by experience candidates will also be considered
• Ideally of 3 years' experience within a UK accountancy environment
• Strong experience of accounts preparation
• Confident managing multiple deadlines and priorities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience producing management accounts would be advantageous
• Good working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage or similar systems
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Word
