Subcontract Solar Electrician Location: London Job Type: Subcontract / Self-employed Expected Earnings: £55,000–£60,000 per annum (price work) We are recruiting an experienced Subcontract Solar Electrician to support an established renewable energy business delivering solar PV and low-carbon energy solutions across London. This is a price-work opportunity for a qualified electrician looking for regular work and strong earning potential. You'll be working across domestic and commercial properties, installing, testing and commissioning solar PV systems, battery storage and associated electrical equipment. What you'll be doing * Installing and commissioning solar PV systems * Carrying out electrical installations and connections for battery storage systems * Testing, inspecting and fault-finding on solar and associated electrical systems * Completing relevant installation, testing and compliance paperwork * Ensuring all work meets current electrical regulations and industry standards * Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service What you'll need * Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations * Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent) * Experience working on commercial or domestic solar PV installations * Good understanding of electrical testing and commissioning * Full UK driving licence * Own tools and relevant equipment * Solar PV, battery storage and MCS experience desirable What's on offer * Expected earnings of £55,000–£60,000 per annum, based on price work * Regular subcontract opportunities * Work across domestic and commercial projects * Opportunity to develop experience with battery storage and renewable technologies * Ongoing work with an established renewable energy business If you are a qualified Electrician with solar PV experience and are looking for a subcontract opportunity with strong earning potential and regular work across London, we'd like to hear from you
