Elite Care Homes is recruiting compassionate, reliable Support Workers to join our supported living services in Birmingham. You will support adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities, providing person-centred care that respects their choices, dignity and individual goals. Your role Working alongside colleagues and the management team, you will: * Support people to develop daily living skills, including cooking, shopping, budgeting and maintaining their home. * Encourage independence, wellbeing and participation in activities and the wider community. * Deliver care and support in line with individual support plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies. * Support with medication in accordance with training, individual plans and organisational procedures. * Recognise changes in wellbeing, respond appropriately and report concerns promptly. * Maintain accurate daily records, medication records and incident reports. * Follow safeguarding procedures and promote a safe, respectful living environment. * Communicate effectively with colleagues, health professionals and others involved in each person’s support. About you We are looking for someone who has: * Experience of supporting people with mental health needs and an understanding of the challenges they may face. * A caring, patient approach and a commitment to promoting choice, recovery and independence. * An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, equality and inclusion. * Holds a Health and Social Care qualification * Good communication, IT and record-keeping skills. * The ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Flexibility to work across services and cover a rota that includes weekends and bank holidays. * The ability to travel reliably to meet service and on-call requirements. Training and support You will receive role-specific induction, required training, complete the Care Certificate, and ongoing supervision and development.
