A Global Technology business based in the City is looking for recent Graduate or Graduate Apprentice candidate to join their Financial team. It is essential you have some Accounting experience.

Qualifications and Competencies:
* Degree or A level education with work experience in a finance department . Some practical experience in financial accounting & UK statutory accounts preparation would be an advantage.
* Desire to study towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.
* Proficient in Excel and comfortable adopting new systems and technology.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
* High numerical ability with an analytical mindset and strong problem solving skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Enthusiastic, optimistic, and able to contribute to a positive team culture.
* Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency in executing and completing tasks.

Responsibilities
* Assisting in the preparation of monthly accounts for group reporting.
* Preparing and posting journals, e.g. prepayments, accruals, intercompany recharges and
month-end journals.
* Investigating material cost variances.
* Preparing intercompany reconciliations.
* Preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
* Assisting with the weekly and monthly financial reports.

Assisting with the preparation of year-end financial statements.
* Supporting UK tax compliance.
* Processing purchase invoices and ensuring accurate coding on a day-to-day basis.
* Processing and checking employee expense claims.
* Assisting with treasury processing and preparing bank reconciliations.
* Monitoring and developing internal controls and systems.
