At Hft, our vision is to create a future where learning disabled people can live the best life possible.

We campaign for positive change, provide personalised support and create solutions that enable people to live independently. Our marketing plays an important role in helping us tell that story, connect with new audiences and inspire people to support the work we do.

We’re looking for a Marketing and Creative Lead to bring creativity, insight and energy to our fundraising campaigns and digital communications.

About the role

This is a hands-on role where creativity meets data and purpose. Working closely with our Fundraising and External Communications teams, you’ll develop and deliver engaging, integrated marketing campaigns that reach new and existing audiences, build supporter relationships and inspire people to get behind Hft’s work.

You’ll take ownership of key marketing moments throughout the year, including Learning Disability Week and our Christmas campaign, while also helping us continually improve how we engage audiences across digital channels.

We’re looking for someone who can come up with a great creative idea — but who also wants to understand why it works, who it reaches and how we can make it even better.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering creative, evidence-led integrated marketing campaigns across paid and owned channels.
  • Working closely with Fundraising colleagues to identify opportunities where marketing can have the greatest impact.
  • Leading key campaign and engagement moments, creating compelling content across websites, social media, email and other digital channels.
  • Developing creative assets using tools such as Canva, ensuring activity is engaging, accessible and on-brand.
  • Maintaining and applying Hft’s brand guidelines and tone of voice across marketing activity.
  • Creating content that brings our work to life and showcases the difference Hft makes.
  • Working with colleagues across Care & Support to identify powerful stories and ensure the voices of the people we support are authentically represented.
  • Planning, creating and managing engaging digital content, including social media, video, graphics and photography.
  • Developing audience-led email campaigns, newsletters and automated communications.
  • Using CRM insight and audience data to create more personalised and relevant communications.
  • Supporting the development and optimisation of digital supporter journeys to strengthen engagement and long-term supporter relationships.
  • Planning, managing and optimising paid social, PPC and Google Ads campaigns.
  • Developing audience targeting and retargeting approaches to support awareness, engagement, supporter acquisition and fundraising.
  • Monitoring campaign performance and budgets, using data to test, learn and continuously improve results.
  • Managing Hft’s photo library, ensuring appropriate permissions, data protection and training are in place.
  • Ensuring all marketing content is accurate, accessible, inclusive, safeguarding-conscious and consistent with Hft’s brand.

About you

We’re looking for a creative and digitally savvy marketer who enjoys turning ideas into campaigns that make a difference.

You’ll have significant experience in digital marketing and communications, ideally within a fundraising, charity or purpose-led environment, and a proven ability to develop, deliver and evaluate successful campaigns.

  • Developing and delivering integrated digital marketing campaigns.
  • Managing social media channels and developing effective social media strategies.
  • Creating engaging digital content, including video, graphics and photography.
  • Writing and editing compelling content for different audiences and digital channels.
  • Email marketing, audience segmentation and supporter journeys.
  • Website management, SEO and digital user experience.
  • Planning and optimising paid digital campaigns, including paid social, PPC and Google Ads.
  • Using creative tools such as Canva to produce high-quality marketing materials.
  • Using audience insight, CRM data and campaign performance to inform decision-making.
  • Managing multiple projects and priorities within agreed deadlines.

You’ll be highly organised, proactive and comfortable working at pace. You’ll be someone who can take an idea from concept through to delivery, while remaining curious about what the data is telling you and always looking for ways to improve.

You’ll also be a strong collaborator who enjoys working with different teams, building relationships and bringing people together around a shared objective.

Why join Hft?

This is an opportunity to use your marketing and creative skills for a purpose that really matters.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Shape high-profile fundraising campaigns and key moments in Hft’s calendar.
  • Develop creative work that reaches new audiences and inspires people to support our cause.
  • Use data and insight to test ideas and directly influence campaign performance.
  • Work across digital, creative, fundraising and communications.
  • Help tell the stories of the people we support and showcase the impact of Hft’s work.
  • Bring new ideas and creativity to how we engage our audiences.
  • Be part of a collaborative team committed to creating positive change.
