Reporting directly to an inspiring Managing Director, you’ll have the chance to put your own stamp on the production operation: developing the team, improving processes and helping the business scale effectively. You will lead around 20 people, supported by three Team Leaders, and see the impact of your ideas as the business continues to grow.

The business is moving through a period of growth and scale, and is looking for a Production Manager who can help build efficient processes while keeping production running safely, smoothly and to a high standard.

What will you be doing?

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of production, making sure the team has clear priorities and the resources needed to meet operational targets.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing a production team of around 20 people and three Team Leaders
• Setting clear daily priorities and making sure production plans are delivered
• Monitoring output, productivity, quality, waste and downtime
• Identifying bottlenecks and putting practical improvements in place
• Developing Team Leaders so they can confidently manage and support their teams
• Making sure work is carried out safely and in line with relevant quality and site standards
• Working with colleagues in planning, maintenance, warehousing and other departments to resolve issues
• Managing staffing, shift cover and resources to meet production requirements
• Investigating production problems and taking action to prevent them happening again
• Encouraging a positive, accountable and improvement-focused team culture
• Reporting on performance and communicating issues or progress to senior management

What would make you a good fit?

You will have experience leading a production team in a manufacturing or FMCG environment, with the confidence to balance daily delivery with longer-term improvements.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience as a Production Manager, Production Supervisor in a FMCG leadership role
• Experience managing and developing Team Leaders or supervisors
• A good understanding of production planning, performance measures and continuous improvement
• The ability to identify inefficiencies and turn ideas into practical changes
• A calm, organised approach when production demands change
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with different teams
• A focus on safety, quality and delivering consistent standards
