Management Accountant

Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a successful and growing manufacturing business to recruit a Management Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a well-established business during an exciting period of growth. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in supporting financial performance, driving process improvements and delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working across both management accounting and operational finance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and ensuring accuracy of financial records
• Managing accruals and prepayments
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and intercompany balances
• Supporting debtor ledger management and resolving financial discrepancies
• Monitoring stock movements, stock valuation and inventory reporting
• Reviewing manufacturing costs and margins, identifying trends and variances
• Collaborating with production, warehouse and procurement teams to provide financial insight
• Assisting with internal and external audits
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting, controls and efficiencies
• Producing ad-hoc analysis and reports for senior stakeholders

About You

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and wider Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
