Manchester | Hybrid & Flexible Working | Salary from £45,000
We're working with an established legal business in Manchester that's looking to bring in an experienced Legal Compliance & Quality Auditor.
This is a role for someone who knows what a well-managed legal file looks like, understands the regulatory expectations placed on a law firm and isn't afraid to challenge things when standards slip.
Ideally, you'll be a qualified Solicitor who has moved into supervision, compliance or quality assurance, or someone who's built up significant experience reviewing legal work and managing risk.
You'll need good judgement, attention to detail and the confidence to have sensible, sometimes difficult conversations with experienced legal professionals.
The RoleYou'll be responsible for reviewing legal files across the business, assessing the quality of work, identifying potential risks and making sure cases are being handled properly from both a regulatory and client care perspective.
It's not simply about finding mistakes. It's about understanding why issues happen, recognising patterns and helping the business improve the way it operates.
You'll work closely with legal teams, supervisors and the wider Quality Assurance function, providing clear feedback and helping maintain consistently high standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
We're particularly interested in speaking with qualified Solicitors who have experience in legal supervision, file auditing, compliance or quality assurance.
That said, a strong legal professional with the right practical experience and understanding of regulatory standards would also be worth a conversation.
You'll ideally bring:
This is an opportunity to use your legal experience in a role focused on quality, risk and improving standards, rather than managing your own caseload.
You'll have the opportunity to influence how legal work is reviewed, how problems are addressed and how teams maintain the standards expected of them.
The position is Manchester-based, with hybrid and flexible working arrangements, and a starting salary in the region of £45,000, depending on experience.
