Senior Business Development Manager, Remote with occasional travel to London / South East and the South Coast - B2B Bespoke AI Solutions We are working with a growing technology business that designs and builds bespoke AI and digital solutions for B2B clients. They are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to take ownership of new business activity, develop opportunities from both inbound and outbound channels, and help build a more structured, repeatable sales process as the business continues to grow. This is not a high volume transactional sales role. The solutions are bespoke, consultative and often technically complex, so you will need to be comfortable getting under the skin of a client’s business, understanding the problem they are trying to solve and working with the wider team to shape the right solution. You will be joining at an exciting stage where there is already inbound opportunity coming into the business, but there is also real scope to develop outbound activity, open up new conversations and help create a stronger and more predictable pipeline. The role will include: * Managing and qualifying inbound new business enquiries * Developing targeted outbound activity and opening conversations with new prospects * Building relationships with senior decision makers across B2B organisations * Understanding client challenges and identifying where bespoke AI or digital solutions could add value * Working with technical and delivery teams to shape solutions, proposals and commercial approaches * Managing opportunities through the full sales cycle from initial conversation through to proposal, negotiation and close * Growing the value of opportunities by identifying wider or longer term requirements * Maintaining a clear and accurate pipeline and keeping CRM activity up to date * Supporting the development of a more structured and repeatable business development process * Ensuring a strong handover from sales into delivery once work is secured * Helping to build longer term client relationships rather than focusing purely on one off project wins We are looking for someone who: * Has strong B2B business development experience, ideally within technology, AI, digital, software, consultancy or a similar service led environment * Is comfortable selling bespoke or complex solutions rather than off the shelf products * Has experience managing a full sales cycle * Can build credibility with senior stakeholders and have commercially focused conversations * Is confident working with technical teams and translating complex solutions into clear client value * Has experience developing outbound activity as well as handling inbound opportunities * Is commercially minded, organised and comfortable working with autonomy * Enjoys being hands on and wants the opportunity to make a visible impact in a growing business This would suit someone who is already operating at a strong Senior Business Development Manager level and is looking for more ownership, more influence and the chance to help shape how new business is developed as the company grows. There is plenty of scope for progression as the commercial function develops, making this a strong opportunity for someone who wants to step into a broader leadership role over time.
