Yorkshire Precision engineering ltd are a family run subcontract engineering business supplying components to a wide variety of industries including subsea, medical and hydraulic industries, and are looking for a Deburring Operative to join our team. The sucessful candidate will be responsible for ensuring secondary operations are complete to a good quality standard, be this polishing, fettling, filing, linishing tapping & Dieing. Job Description * Deburring and fettling precision-machined components using Polishing wheels, files & flexi hones to remove sharp edges and give a good finish. * Tapping & Dieing using a tapping arm. * Using a range of abrasive wheels and linishers. * Occasionally using a sand blaster to deburr components * Occasionally helping out in the packing department * Keeping up with general house keeping * Working across 2 sites Skills Required * Must have an eye for detail * Experience within a machine shop or manufacturing environment is preferred. * Must be Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and able to work under own initiative. * Willing to help others if required Hours of Work: MON: 7.00AM – 5.30PM TUES: 7.00AM – 5.30PM WED: 7.00AM – 5.30PM THURS: 7.00AM – 5.30PM * Lunch Break: ½ Hour 12.30-1PM * x2 15 Miniute paid breaks Morning & Afternoon * Hours Per week: 40 Hours * 4 DAY WEEK * Holidays: 200 Hours per year floating, plus statutory days. * Pay Period Monthly by BACS Transfer. * One extra day holiday awarded every 3 years service. * Yearly wage reviews * Bright Exchange discounts on big brands
