Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Accountant on a part-time, six-month fixed-term basis to support their finance function. Working approximately 30 hours per month, the position offers flexibility in how the hours are arranged, with a preference for two days per fortnight or one week of condensed hours per month.

This is a hands-on role covering day-to-day accounting duties, monthly management reporting and VAT returns.

The Responsibilities

• * Manage day-to-day invoicing and financial transactions
• * Prepare and post accruals and journals
• * Produce monthly management reports
• * Complete quarterly VAT returns
• * Maintain accurate financial records
• * Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
• * Support month-end processes and reporting
• * Ensure financial information is accurate and up to date

The Candidate

• * Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
• * Strong knowledge of invoicing, journals and accruals
• * Experience preparing management reports and VAT returns
• * Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• * Able to work independently and manage deadlines
