Finance Manager

£60-70,000 + bens | Full-Time, Permanent | London | Hybrid

My Client, a fast-growing acquisitional, part of a well-known and highly trusted UK group, are recruiting a Finance Manager with and proven hands-on all round finance experience, ready to take real ownership in a fast-scaling business, based out of their London offices working on a Hybrid basis (3days in office 2 WFH)

Sitting at the heart of the finance function this is a hands-on role where you'll own core accounting processes end-to-end - from ledger integrity and reconciliations to management reporting and compliance across multiple entities as the business expands.

You’ll own the integrity of our financial data - improving systems and controls to ensure senior leadership can operate with confidence and clarity.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Managing month-end close, reconciliations (bank, expenses, accruals/prepayments), and financial controls
• Monitoring and tracking expenses and departmental budgets, flagging variances and supporting cost control
• Working closely with external accountants, auditors and vendors to ensure compliance and smooth reporting cycles
• Helping optimise and improve financial systems, processes and reporting tools as the business scales, including automation where possible
• Conducting ad-hoc financial analysis to support commercial decisions and operational planning
• Owning finance-related aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding (payroll, systems access, documentation)

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Accountant(ACA, ACCA/CIMA) with a strong academic background
• Proven start-up or scale-up experience, ideally as an early hire in a small finance team with exposure to all aspect of the finance function.
• Strong grounding in accounting fundamentals - comfortable reconciling ledgers, reviewing balance sheets and preparing management accounts
• Highly detail-oriented, with the discipline to manage high-volume transactional work accurately
• Confident working across multiple entities and reconciling complex accounts
• Strong Google Sheets capability, with hands-on experience using Xero in a multi-entity environment
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling environment where processes are evolving
• High ownership mindset - you don't just process numbers, you ensure they're right
• Experience with regulated environments is a bonus but not essential
