Year 3 Teacher (Job Share) - Part Time (2 Days per Week)

Are you an experienced and highly skilled primary teacher looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity?

We are seeking an exceptional practitioner to join our team on a 2-day-per-week job-share basis, working alongside an established class teacher with shared planning responsibilities. This opportunity has arisen following a flexible working arrangement and offers the chance to make a significant difference within a supportive and inclusive school environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will teach a Year 3 class and work collaboratively with the existing class teacher to ensure continuity and high-quality provision for all pupils.

The class currently consists of:

  • 28 pupils
  • 36% of pupils identified with SEND
  • 11% of pupils with an EHCP
  • 46% of pupils eligible for Free School Meals

The class is supported by:

  • Two dedicated support staff members
  • A PGCE trainee teacher, who will continue to be mentored by the existing class teacher

In addition, the school benefits from an established internal inclusion provision, where children with complex communication needs receive specialist support each morning.

About You

We are looking for an experienced teacher who can demonstrate:

  • Exceptional classroom management skills
  • Strong inclusive teaching practice
  • A commitment to meeting the needs of all learners
  • The ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with children
  • Confidence in working within a diverse community with a high level of additional needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to support effective job-share working

What We Offer

This is an opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive team that is fully committed to ensuring both pupils and staff thrive. While this is a class requiring a skilled and confident practitioner, you will benefit from:

  • A strong team around the children
  • Experienced support staff within the classroom
  • Collaborative working with an established class teacher
  • A leadership team committed to supporting staff success and wellbeing
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an inclusive and rewarding setting

If you are a talented primary teacher seeking a flexible, part-time role where your expertise can make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
