Job Vacancy: Full-Time Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver

Job Type: Full-time

Working Hours: 39.5 hours per week with 30 mins for lunch, Monday to Thursday 9.00am-5.30pm, Friday 9.00am-5.00pm, with alternative Saturdays 9.00am-1.00pm.

Location: On-site (SK1 3LR)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver to join our busy team at an automotive and industrial paint and consumables supplier.

The ideal candidate will have a clean driving licence, a good knowledge of the local area, and a positive, can-do attitude. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to work well under pressure, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

This is a varied role combining warehouse duties, customer service, paint mixing and local deliveries. You may also occasionally be required to work at one of our other branches.

Key Responsibilities

• Paint Mixing: Mix paint accurately to meet customer requirements.
• Customer Service: Serve customers at the counter, answer incoming calls, take orders and assist with customer enquiries.
• Warehouse Operations: Pick stock, prepare orders and help load delivery vans.
• Stock Control: Check incoming deliveries from suppliers and ensure stock is put away correctly.
• Computer Work: Use our computer system to process customer invoices and print paint mixes.
• Communication: Make telephone calls to customers and suppliers as required.
• Deliveries: Deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers and other branches.
• Teamwork: Support colleagues and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

Skills and Requirements

• A full, clean driving licence is essential.
• A good knowledge of the local area.
• At least one year of driving experience is required.
• Previous delivery driving experience is preferred.
• Experience in our industry preferred but is not required.
• A strong work ethic, reliability and a positive attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
• Willingness to undertake manual handling and occasional heavy lifting.
• Flexibility to work at our other branches and on alternative Saturdays.

Pay and Benefits

• Company Bonus Scheme: Eligible employees will be enrolled in our Company bonus scheme. Average year-to-date bonus payments are approximately £800.00 per month (please note this is an average figure and bonuses are NOT guaranteed)
