Manufacturing Buyer 📍 Location: Pershore 💷 Pay Rate: £17.95 - £19.50 per hour, depending on experience 🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, morning shift 📄 Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm We are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Pershore. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment who is looking for a long-term temp-to-perm position. The role will involve managing purchase orders, working closely with suppliers, monitoring material availability and supporting production requirements. Key Responsibilities Raising and maintaining purchase orders for materials and services Providing forecasts and schedules to suppliers Monitoring supplier delivery performance Managing open orders and ensuring materials are available when required Expediting urgent material shortages Working with Logistics and Accounts to resolve Goods-In discrepancies Monitoring stock and inventory levels Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers Identifying and sourcing new suppliers when required Building and maintaining good supplier relationships Supporting improvements within purchasing and inventory processesThe successful candidate will have Previous experience within a Buyer, Purchasing or Procurement role Ideally 1-3 years’ experience within a similar manufacturing environment Good numerical skills and experience working with budgets Previous experience using an ERP system Good negotiation and communication skills Strong organisational skills Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS would be advantageous Degree-level qualification would also be advantageousBenefits £17.95 - £19.50 per hour depending on experience Training and development opportunities Company pension Free on-site parking Health & wellbeing programme Life assurance Cycle-to-work scheme Referral programme Enhanced holiday entitlement of up to 33 days after 5 years Early finish at 1pm on Fridays This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Buyer looking for a stable, long-term position within a busy engineering and manufacturing environment
