We are recruiting an experienced MOT Technician to join our established independent garage in Bedford. With over 35 years of trading history, we have built a strong reputation for honest, high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs. This MOT Technician role offers excellent earning potential, a Monday-to-Friday schedule and the opportunity to work with modern Bosch diagnostic equipment in a supportive workshop environment. Benefits: Salary of up to £45,000. Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. No weekend working. Modern Bosch diagnostic equipment. Hybrid and electric vehicle training. Further qualifications available, including F-Gas. Varied work across cars and light commercial vehicles. Stable employment within an established, reputable garage. Ongoing training and career development supported by an experienced manager.Duties: As a MOT Technician , service, maintain and repair a variety of vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles. Carry out Class 4 MOT tests, with potential opportunities for Class 7 testing. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment. Identify and rectify faults accurately and efficiently. Complete all work to a high standard and in line with manufacturer specifications. Record vehicle faults and work completed accurately. Maintain high standards of workshop safety, efficiency and housekeeping. Support fleet contract requirements by working confidently on vans and light commercial vehicles.Requirements: To succeed as a MOT Technician , you will hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent. Time-served Technicians without formal qualifications are encouraged to apply. At least three years’ previous workshop experience is preferred. Valid Class 4 MOT Tester Licence is essential. Own tools. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Experience working on German vehicles would be advantageous.
