Used Car Sales Manager

Location: Brighton

Basic Salary: £35,000–£40,000 DOE

OTE: £55,000–£60,000

Working Hours

• Monday–Friday: 8:30am–6:00pm, with one day off during the week
• Saturday: 9:00am–5:00pm

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Used Car Sales Manager to support the dealership’s sales leadership team in driving performance, developing the sales team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious automotive professional who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about achieving sales targets, maximising profitability, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive used car sales performance, consistently working towards and exceeding sales targets.
• Support, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Maximise profitability across vehicle sales, finance, insurance, and additional products.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to encourage customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
• Manage used vehicle stock levels to meet customer demand and sales objectives.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
• Monitor sales processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain high operational standards across the sales department.

About You

• Proven experience in an automotive sales leadership or management role.
• Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
• Excellent understanding of dealership sales processes and used car retailing.
• Commercially minded, with a strong focus on sales performance and profitability.
• Customer-focused, professional, and committed to delivering excellent service.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
