We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Cards Operations Analyst to join a fast-paced banking and payments environment. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting card payment services, ensuring transactions are processed efficiently, financial controls are maintained, and customer-related issues are resolved effectively.

Working as part of a collaborative operations team, you will oversee a range of activities across card payments, including transaction settlement, account balancing, dispute resolution, operational oversight and process enhancement. You'll partner with both internal teams and external providers to help deliver a seamless cardholder experience while maintaining strong operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing administration and servicing of card payment products and related operational processes.
• Ensure transaction processing activities are completed accurately and within required timescales.
• Assist with new product launches, testing initiatives and operational change projects.
• Build effective relationships with payment processors, card networks and third-party suppliers.
• Review settlement activity and funding movements, investigating and escalating any irregularities.
• Perform financial reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across multiple systems and data sources.
• Handle cardholder disputes and chargeback cases, ensuring compliance with scheme deadlines and internal procedures.
• Monitor key controls and operational checkpoints to maintain a robust risk and control environment.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within card payments, banking operations, merchant services or a regulated financial services environment.
• Sound understanding of payment processing, card transactions and operational workflows.
• Practical experience performing reconciliations and investigating financial variances or exceptions.
