My client, a boutique corporate finance house, is looking for a contractor to support on supporting on a buy-side Financial Due Diligence (FDD) project. They are looking for a German-speaking FDD Consultant to join the team on a full-time basis for circa 6 months. This will be an outside IR35 assignment, with an immediate start.

The key requirement is strong German language capability, as the project will involve reviewing German-language financial documents and files, with the potential for some interaction with the target. The majority of calls are expected to be conducted in English, with German required where appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of a buy-side Financial Due Diligence engagement.
  • Analyse financial information, management accounts and underlying business performance.
  • Review and interpret German-language financial documents and supporting materials.
  • Assist with financial analysis across areas including revenue, profitability, working capital, net debt and cash flow.
  • Identify key findings, risks and areas requiring further investigation.
  • Support preparation of FDD analysis, schedules and client deliverables.
  • Participate in calls with the target and wider deal team, switching between English and German where required.
  • Work closely with the wider FDD team to deliver the project within a tight transaction timetable.
Required Experience
  • Previous experience in Financial Due Diligence / Transaction Services, ideally within a Big 4, mid-market advisory or specialist transaction advisory environment.
  • Experience working on buy-side due diligence assignments.
  • Strong financial analysis and accounting skills.
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of financial information and operating to tight deadlines.
  • Fluent German and English, with the ability to confidently review German documentation and participate in German-language discussions when required.
Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate will be an Assistant Manager or Manager-level FDD professional who can immediately contribute to a live transaction. While strong FDD experience is important, German language capability is the critical requirement for this assignment.

The role is predominantly remote, although candidates able to spend some time working from a London office for collaboration would be preferred.
