Used Car Business Manager – Main Car Dealership

Location: Manchester

Salary: £32,000 Basic | £62,000 Realistic OTE + Company Car

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
• EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFF (SATURDAY & SUNDAY)
• ADDITIONAL DAY OFF DURING THE WEEK, EVERY WEEK

Richard Abson Group is recruiting for an experienced Used Car Business Manager to join a successful, well-established main car dealership in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Business Manager, Transaction Manager or experienced Sales Controller looking to join a successful dealership offering excellent earning potential and a genuinely attractive working rota.

With a £32,000 basic salary, £62,000 realistic OTE, company car, every other weekend off and an additional weekday off every week, this opportunity offers an excellent combination of career progression, earning potential and work-life balance.

You'll be joining an established dealership, working alongside a team of 6 Sales Executives, with the opportunity to make a real impact on sales performance and profitability.

The Role

As Used Car Business Manager, you'll play a key role in driving the dealership's finance performance, maximising profitability and supporting the sales team in achieving their targets.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maximising finance penetration and profitability across used vehicle sales
• Presenting finance packages and additional products to customers
• Supporting, coaching and developing a team of 6 Sales Executives
• Structuring deals and assisting the sales team in closing sales
• Working closely with the Sales Manager to achieve departmental targets
• Ensuring all finance and insurance processes meet FCA compliance requirements
• Building strong relationships with customers and finance providers
• Delivering excellent customer satisfaction throughout the sales process

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within a franchised main car dealership
• A strong understanding of automotive finance products and FCA compliance
• A proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills
• The ability to motivate, support and develop a sales team
• A commercially focused, target-driven approach
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
