Henlee Resourcing is delighted to be recruiting an experienced Interim HR Manager to provide maternity cover for a rapidly growing SME based in Swindon.

This is a standalone, hands-on and varied role, combining day-to-day HR operations with exciting people-focused projects and the opportunity to make a real impact.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing day-to-day HR operations and employee lifecycle processes.
• Advising managers on employee relations, absence, performance and disciplinary matters.
• Managing and supporting the HR and Recruitment Administrator.
• Overseeing recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
• Coordinating payroll information and administering employee benefits.
• Maintaining HR systems, employee records and reporting.
• Supporting HR communications, policies and compliance.
• Coordinating an employee engagement survey and follow-up actions.
• Supporting international expansion and related HR activities.
• Progressing talent development, manager training and succession planning.
• Managing HR projects, actions and deadlines.
• As day-to-day administration reduces, there will be greater scope to focus on overseeing the HR function and progressing wider people initiatives.

About you
You'll be a confident, bright and commercially minded HR generalist, with experience in a fast-paced, standalone HR roles at HR Manager, HR Advisor or HR Business Partner level. Ideally, you'll bring experience from an SME environment, be comfortable challenging and influencing where appropriate, and have the confidence to work autonomously.

Strong HR systems, payroll, benefits and project management experience are essential, alongside a sound understanding of UK employment legislation. CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is also required.
