Finance Apprentice

We have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established client of ours, where you'll gain hands-on experience within a busy Finance team whilst studying towards a recognised AAT Accounting qualification.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has a keen eye for detail, and is eager to develop a long-term career in finance or accountancy. You'll receive comprehensive training, support from experienced finance professionals, and exposure to a wide range of financial processes. No previous finance experience is required although good GCSE's and A Levels in numerate subjects likes Maths, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Business.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Maintaining accurate financial records, spreadsheets, and accounting systems.
• Assisting with bank, supplier, and account reconciliations.
• Responding professionally to finance-related queries from colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
• Supporting budget monitoring activities and month-end/year-end processes.
• Working collaboratively with departments across the organisation to ensure efficient financial administration.
• Handling confidential financial information accurately and securely.
• Assisting with the preparation of reports and financial data as required.

• A genuine interest in finance and accounting.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with data, documents, and financial information.
• Well-organised, reliable, and keen to learn.
• Committed to completing an AAT apprenticeship and applying your learning in the workplace.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Entry Requirements

• Nine GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 5/C or above, including English and Mathematics.
• Three A Levels at Grades A-C, including at least one of the following subjects:
  • Mathematics
  • Economics
  • Business Studies
  • Accounting
• Previous experience using spreadsheets, handling data, or working in an office environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
