Boyd Recruitment are currently looking to recruit an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Operator on behalf of a well-established utilities contractor, supporting projects within the power and overhead line (OHL) sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious driver to join an established team, supporting the delivery of plant, equipment, materials and poles to various project sites. The Role Deliver poles, excavators, plant and materials to various sites across Scotland. Carry out daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles remain safe, legal and roadworthy. Ensure all loads are correctly secured and vehicles are not overloaded. Complete all relevant driving documentation, vehicle checks and tachograph records. Work closely with site supervisors and operational teams to coordinate deliveries. Follow all company and client health and safety procedures. Assist with loading and unloading operations, including the use of a mounted crane (HIAB) where qualified. Essential Requirements Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence. Valid Driver CPC. Valid Digital Tachograph Card. HIAB certification. Strong understanding of vehicle safety, load security and drivers' hours regulations. Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work. Desirable Previous experience within the utilities or construction sectors. CSCS card or equivalent. NPORS 360 Excavator qualification. Experience operating HIAB-mounted vehicles.
