We are looking for a Cleaner on a part-time basis, 12 hours per week, covering Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. In this role you will undertake cleaning duties at one of our sheltered scheme buildings.

What you'll be doing

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout communal areas, offices, welfare facilities and other designated areas withing the supported living scheme.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment materials and chemicals are used safely, stored securely and maintained in good working order.
• Conduct regular checks of communal areas, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, health and safety hazards damage, pest concerns or safeguarding concerns promptly.
• Support the creation of a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment that promotes residents wellbeing dignity and independence.
• Where required, to be an active participation in resident forums.

What we are looking for

• Previous cleaning experience of carrying out cleaning duties in a supported living or similar environment is desirable, but not essential.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to complete records and report issues.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements relating to cleaning activities, including the control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH)
• To be able to understand and follow safety rules
• Aware of safeguarding responsibilities when working with vulnerable adults

Please note the office expectancy of this role is as follows: Full time at Leyland Court. This role will be 12 hours pw and spread over Monday, Wednesday and Friday in 3 x 4hr blocks. We are flexible for these 4 hours to be taken anytime between 8am-8pm at the scheme.
