Setting Out Engineer – Taunton, Somerset Location: Taunton, Somerset Job Title: Setting Out Engineer Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Setting Out Engineer to join our team on projects in and around Taunton, Somerset. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate setting out and surveying support on site, ensuring all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements. Key Responsibilities * Carrying out accurate setting out of construction works using GPS, Total Station and other surveying equipment. * Setting out foundations, drainage, roads, kerbs, structures and general civil engineering works. * Interpreting construction drawings and specifications. * Checking levels, dimensions and line and level throughout the project. * Maintaining accurate site records and survey information. * Liaising with site managers, engineers and subcontractors. * Ensuring all works are completed to the required quality and safety standards. Requirements * Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer within civil engineering or construction. * Competent using Total Station, GPS and surveying equipment. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * Good understanding of levels, coordinates and construction methods. * CSCS card. * Full UK driving licence. * Strong communication and organisational skills.
