A very busy Primary School based in North Birmingham is looking for a School Receptionist. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8am - 4.00 pm. This role is a long-term maternity to cover to start as soon as possible.

Your new role
The role is to provide reception cover to a busy school office. The role will entail:

• Providing a professional and efficient 'front of house' reception and switchboard support to the school
• Receiving, signing in and dealing with or directing pupils, parents and visitors as appropriate.
• Taking telephone calls and delivering messages as appropriate within a timely fashion.
• Receiving and sorting incoming mail and deliveries for distribution to appropriate staff.
• Stamping / franking and posting of outgoing mail.
• Occasional routine Word processing, as and when required.
• Inputting student data into SIMs
• Prepare large scale distribution of letters and papers to the parent community.

This is a very busy school office and requires an individual that can work under pressure. An individual that is proactive with strong customer service skills.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have a high level of communication skills and be able to work quickly under your initiative. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years. You will also need to have an up to date DBS check, the school can't accept any applicants without this
