The role:
To provide a first-class customer journey by attending site visits liaising with customers who have experienced damaged to their domestic or commercial property.
Assess liability, build scopes of works, validate claims against policy cover, agree settlements, and determine the best resolution until full completion of the property repair.
Occasionally you will work in other areas supporting major incidents or during surge events which will involve travelling throughout the UK involving evening and weekends.
About you:
Experienced in handling property insurance claims in a loss adjusting or insurer environment
Be able to carry out site visits, inspecting properties as well as the ability to do virtual assessments
Experienced in building scopes using scoping software
A background of management Domestic and Commercial Property claims with an understanding of all general perils including flood, escape of water (eow) and fire damage, alongside health and safety regulations and industry-specific legislation
Exceptional communication skills being able to show empathy whilst giving precise and clear detail of policy interpretation and legislation, being able to deal with difficult situations whilst maintaining strong client relationships
Ideally Industry qualified, working towards or keen to study and work towards
