A critical requirement for this position is extensive experience in sourcing mechanically engineered components from Asian markets.

Manufacturing Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of machined component manufacturing. You know exactly how parts are manufactured, how to accurately model their costs, and how to proactively identify potential quality risks.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and cultivate top-tier third-party machining partners?with a heavy focus on the Asian market?to build a resilient, scalable supply network for future growth.

Technical Sourcing: Leverage your manufacturing expertise to oversee the procurement of highly complex machined parts, ensuring all vendors fully grasp and consistently meet strict technical specifications and quality benchmarks.

Commercial Strategy & Cost Reduction: Drive vendor negotiations and continuously scrutinise total acquisition costs. You will pinpoint opportunities to maximise margins and achieve sustainable savings without sacrificing product performance.

Inventory & Production Alignment: Synchronise vendor output and part availability with internal manufacturing and build schedules, guaranteeing a steady, reliable flow of materials to our assembly and testing hubs.
