Talent Manager
Location: Oxfordshire (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced talent professional looking to shape the people strategy of a growing, innovative organisation? This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth, internationally operating business as part of its HR leadership team, taking ownership of talent acquisition, learning and development, employee growth, and talent retention.

This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who can balance strategic thinking with operational delivery. You'll have the opportunity to influence how the organisation attracts, develops and retains talent while building scalable people practices that support future growth.

Reporting into the HR Director, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering the organisation's talent agenda, including:

  • Leading and developing the recruitment function through management of an internal Talent Acquisition specialist.
  • Creating and enhancing frameworks that support the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to career progression.
  • Designing and embedding performance management, career development and succession planning processes.
  • Owning the annual learning and development strategy and budget, including leadership and management development programmes.
  • Driving employer branding and employee value proposition initiatives across multiple channels.
  • Leading employee engagement surveys, analysing feedback and developing meaningful action plans.
  • Using talent and recruitment data to improve hiring effectiveness, retention and workforce planning.
  • Ensuring recruitment and talent processes remain compliant with employment legislation, data protection requirements and internal governance standards.
  • Supporting a geographically diverse workforce across multiple international locations.

You'll bring a blend of talent acquisition, talent management and learning & development expertise, alongside the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.

We're looking for:

  • Significant experience within talent acquisition, talent management and/or learning & development.
  • A track record of designing and delivering leadership and management development programmes.
  • Experience managing recruiters or leading a small talent team.
  • Exposure to supporting remote and internationally based employees.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment best practice.
  • Experience using people data and metrics to drive decision making.
  • The ability to challenge, influence and coach senior leaders effectively.
  • A pragmatic and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

You'll ideally have the following:

  • Both agency and in-house recruitment experience.
  • Experience within private equity, venture capital-backed or other high-growth organisations.
  • Exposure to technical, scientific, healthcare, life sciences or regulated environments.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience implementing or optimising HR, ATS or learning management systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation during an exciting phase of growth. You'll have genuine influence over the people agenda, working closely with senior leadership to shape the employee experience and build the talent foundations required for future success.
