DATA ENGINEER

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join a data-driven organisation where analytics, automation, and emerging AI technologies are central to business decision-making. You will play a key role in designing SQL Server environments from the ground up and delivering solutions that directly influence business outcomes.

This organisation continues to develop its data capabilities, providing the opportunity to influence the evolution of its data architecture and support exciting AI initiatives.

THE ROLE

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design and build SQL Server databases from scratch
• Modernise and enhance the organisation's existing database architecture
• Maintain and review existing dashboards and develop new reporting streams
• Build automation solutions using Python and APIs
• Work closely with stakeholders to deliver data solutions that support business objectives

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience designing and building SQL Server environments from scratch is essential
• Strong understanding of database architecture and schema design experience is essential
• Experience working with SSIS, ETL processes and data migration/ transformation projects within Azure
• Experience using Python for automation and working with REST APIs
• Exposure to Tableau highly desirable or similar business intelligence tools
• Confident using AI tools to support operational efficiency
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage confidently with stakeholders

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Up to £55,000 base salary
• Contributory pension scheme
