Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Location: Dual Site – North Shields & South Shields Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Contract: Permanent, Full-time Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer looking for a role where no two days are the same? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of equipment across two production sites. The Role As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting maintenance activities across sites in North Shields and South Shields. This is a varied position where the Maintenance Engineer will travel between both locations, carrying out a mix of preventative planned maintenance and reactive breakdown support to keep operations running efficiently. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out reactive maintenance and fault finding to minimise downtime. * Complete planned preventative maintenance activities across both sites. * Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment faults. * Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives. * Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company standards. * Travel between the North Shields and South Shields sites as required. What we are looking for: * Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer. * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. * Mechanical maintenance experience. * Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple sites. * Full UK driving licence.
