Position: SEN Specialist Tutor - One-to-One Tuition
Hours: 10 hours per week to start, increasing to 20 hours per week
Pay: Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications
Contract: Flexible, ongoing placement

About the Role

Remedy Tutors is looking for a dedicated and patient SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition to a student in the M1 area. The role will initially involve 10 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase to 20 hours per week as the placement develops.

You will work consistently with one student, helping them develop their academic skills, confidence and engagement with learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised one-to-one tuition tailored to the student's needs and abilities.

• TeachMaths and English confidently and effectively

• Plan engaging lessons that support progress and close gaps in learning.

• Build a positive, trusting relationship with the student.

• Adapt teaching methods to support individual learning needs.

• Monitor progress and provide feedback on development.

Requirements

• Must be able to teach both Maths and English.

• Experience supporting students with SEN/SEND is desirable.

• Patient, adaptable and confident working on a one-to-one basis.

• Able to build positive relationships and encourage engagement.

• Relevant teaching or tutoring experience and qualifications are desirable.
