Rent Recovery Officer

Salary: £16.06 p/h

Contract: Temporary 10 weeks (Project assist)

Location: Coventry

Working Hours: Shifts Mon to Fri, 9-5pm

Our client are seeking an experienced Rent Recovery Officer to support the team during a large-scale project.

Rent Recovery Officer duties include:

• To provide advice and assistance to customers on all areas related to income collection and recovery.
• Proactively contact customers to resolve debt issues and negotiate repayment arrangements.
• Ensure efficient and effective collection of charges including court and enforcement referrals.
• Assess affordability and refer customers to appropriate support services.
• Provide advice on tenancy breaches, housing law and welfare reform.
• Complete court administration requirements and support case progression.

Rent Recovery Officer person specification:

• Previous experience in income collection or debt management is essential due to the nature of the project and immediate requirement.
• Good understanding of housing law and county court processes.
• Knowledge of arrears collection best practice and legal issues.
• Excellent customer communication skills.
