Landers Recruitment is working with a leading manufacturer within the electrical sector to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to cover Ireland.

This is a field-based commercial role focused on developing relationships with electrical contractors, M&E contractors, housebuilders, developers and installers, identifying project opportunities and creating demand through the electrical wholesale channel.

The Role:

• Develop and manage relationships with contractors, installers, housebuilders, developers and M&E businesses across Ireland
• Identify new projects and opportunities at an early stage, influencing product selection and specification
• Drive sales across lighting, wiring accessories and associated electrical product categories
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of project and contractor opportunities
• Work closely with electrical wholesalers and internal sales teams to convert opportunities into orders
• Deliver product demonstrations, training, contractor events and trade mornings
• Support product launches, campaigns and joint customer visits
• Follow opportunities from initial engagement through quotation, order and installation
• Provide market, competitor and installer feedback to support future growth

The Person:

We’re looking for someone with experience selling into or working closely with the electrical contractor, electrical wholesale, housebuilder or project market.

You’ll ideally have knowledge of lighting, wiring accessories or related electrical products, building materials, construction materials, alongside strong commercial, presentation and relationship-building skills.

You’ll be comfortable managing a large territory independently, developing long-term relationships and maintaining a disciplined approach to CRM, pipeline management and follow-up.
