Description

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and maintain accurate account records.
• Contact customers to follow up on outstanding payments and agree practical next steps.
• Review aged debt reports and prioritise accounts that need timely action.
• Investigate payment queries and work with relevant colleagues to resolve them.
• Keep clear notes of customer contact, payment promises and account updates.
• Issue customer statements and provide information on account balances when needed.
• Reconcile customer payments against invoices to keep records up to date.
• Share regular debt updates with the Accounting & Finance department to support informed decisions.

Profile

A successful Credit Controller should have:

• Experience managing customer accounts and following up overdue payments.
• Confidence reviewing account balances, invoices and payment information.
• Ability to investigate payment queries and keep account records accurate.
• Clear written and verbal communication when dealing with customers.
• Good attention to detail when recording payment activity and account updates.
• Ability to organise workload and prioritise outstanding debt effectively.

Job Offer

• Permanent Credit Controller position based in Wrexham.
• Salary of £27,000 to £33,000, dependent on the level of experience.
